When it comes to processor, the Z2 Plus has a more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor as compared to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. The rear camera lens is sourced from Samsung and Sony and has a 25% larger pixel area as compared to the Redmi Note 3. For selfie lovers, both smartphones feature a 5-megapixel front camera of aperture f/2.0 and support for HD video recording. Xiaomi launched their new device - the Redmi Note 4 - at an event in New Delhi on Thursday and it succeeds the Redmi Note 3 device in the market, which was launched early previous year.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 sports a 13-Megapixel primary sensor with f/2.0, PDAF, dual LED flash and a 5-Megapixel secondary sensor with beautify mode. It's a pretty high-end phone, the Redmi Note 4, when you look at its spec-sheet and yet it costs so little, just like the Redmi Note 3.

Xiaomi might have played a gamble by going with a Snapdragon 625 instead of Snapdragon 653 on the Redmi Note 4. Unlike the successful launch of its predecessor, the Redmi Note 4 now faces stiff competition from Lenovo and HTC featuring similar features, innovations and even pricing. You still get the 3.5mm headphone jack on the device, and as with all Xiaomi devices, this one too comes with a IR Blaster. It supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB) in a hybrid dual-SIM card configuration. Previously we've seen Qualcomm use the 14nm FinFET tech on its high-end processors like the Snapdragon 820 series. In India, the company has introduced the Gold, Grey, and Silver colour variants, with a brand new Matte Black colour variant coming soon.

The Redmi Note 4, on the other hand, seemingly concentrates on improving the battery life from its predecessor.
