Game Of Thrones Season 7: Everything We Know So Far

Posted March 12, 2017

In an elaborate media stunt on Thursday, HBO bosses chose to give fans the news by melting a huge ice block to reveal the date on Facebook live. Patient fans sat through a Facebook Live video of ice melting.

Fans were left frustrated when Thursday's live stream announcement stopped and started a number of times before the date was revealed to be July 16.

HBO also released the first major teaser for the new seaon.

In the new trailer, returning character Jon Snow says: 'There is only one war that matters.

"I certainly did more (action) this season than I've ever done", Harington revealed.

After a weird publicity stunt that had HBO getting viewers to watch a block of ice melt, we have a release date.

Lorde drops 'drunk'-sounding new song 'Liability' and album release date
One week after releasing lead radio single "Green Light", Lorde shared another track from her forthcoming "Melodrama". Today she's blessed us with the second installment from her sophomore album and people are feeling very emotional.

And until now, they didn't know the precise date of the show's return either.

Another reason is the breakneck pace of Season 6 towards its end, especially in the last two episodes "Battle of the Bastards" and "The Winds of Winter", in which some of the most important developments in the show took place.

It's thought the post was nodding to the series title: A Song of Ice and Fire.

"Game of Thrones" made its debut in 2010 and became one of the popular shows.

Because there will only be seven installments in the upcoming season instead of the usual 10, producers had more money to work with.

It was a joke for a while among fans, that "winter is coming" for the Stark family, but very slowly. Although, at this time, there is only little known about the plot of the new season, Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams told The Independent that the series comes "to the climax and it's rolling down to the end".
