William and Kate hear stories of sport and survival in Paris

While the royal couple has visited France several times, it was William's first official visit to Paris since his mother, Princess Diana, was killed in a 1997 vehicle accident.

The two-day visit does not include official memorial events for Princess Diana, who was killed in a auto crash in the city in 1997.

Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, arrives at the Elysee Palace in Paris to meet France's President on March 17, 2017.

Kate, 35, wore the ice blue Jenny Packham dress as she attended a dinner at the British Embassy in Paris as part of a two-day trip to France.

The black dress was pure elegance, but it paled in comparison to the almost blinding silver embroidered Jenny Packham gown she wore to dinner at the British ambassador's house later in the evening. Wow!

"Kate was interested in my daughter's toy monkey she was holding and said that George had a toy rabbit called Bum Bum", one mother told the Press Association.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have met with victims of the Paris attacks on the same day a radicalised attacker was shot dead in Orly airport.

He revealed to have already informed chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who he said had not sought his resignation. While talking to media Saseendran said, "my decision to resign should not be seen as my acceptance of guilt".

The Duke and The Duchess of Cambridge took a private jet to Paris to begin a two-day Brexit charm offensive as Queen Elizabeth planned earlier.

William expressed his gratitude to the people of France in a moving speech, which he started off in French, before saying with a laugh: "And forgive me if I now continue in the language of Shakespeare, so as to reduce the risk of mangling the language of Molière". France had won the game, and both the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were spotted sporting glum looks on their faces. While we were surprised to see her in the very same silhouette, it wasn't long before she pulled a frock swap and traded the green look for a chic Alexander McQueen dress, which was belted to enhance her svelte frame.

They later posed for a picture with the Eiffel Tower in the background before travelling to the Stade de France to watch Wales play France in a Six Nations rugby match, which the home side won.

Among the guests were movie stars Kristin Scott Thomas, Audrey Tautou and Jean Reno.

Kate stepped out in a Chanel coat during the visit to Les Invalides, which also saw them speak with French Second World War veterans.

The Duke of Cambridge is in Paris just months before the 20th anniversary of the death of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, in a auto crash in the city. "I need to live and to work", she said.
