We all know that, and it's something that has been looming over Mets fans' heads for the past few seasons.
Following the loss, Terry Collins was asked if Harvey was suspended for skipping the game on Saturday and again, the manager declined to answer, citing a desire to keep things under wraps.
Collins did note that the franchise thought it was clear that baseball wasn't Harvey's "top priority" right now.
Harvey didn't go to the ballpark Saturday, and apparently that is behind the suspension, though the Mets aren't saying the reason for the absence or the ban.
Harvey can appeal the suspension, which removes Harvey from the 25-man roster. Harvey, nicknamed the Dark Knight, is in danger of falling permanently out-of-favor with the Mets.
No matter why Matt Harvey was suspended, the New York Mets are in the middle of a very messy season.
Collins said the suspension was a tough decision.
UK Queen's husband Prince Philip retires from royal duties
Officials said the queen, who turned 91 last month, will carry on her royal engagements with the support of the royal family. The meeting was called somewhat last minute, leading many to fear that some actual emergency was taking place at the palace.
"In a situation like that, I just kind of have to go out there and pitch the best I can with my strengths", Wilk said.
Already missing a string of key players due to injuries, the New York Mets hope for good news when steady shortstop Asdrubal Cabrera has an MRI. The person said Harvey played golf on Saturday, was bothered by a migraine and did not report to the ballpark or tell the Mets of his absence before 3 p.m. NY also claimed lefty Tommy Milone off waivers from Milwaukee - he was 1-0 with one save and a 6.43 earned-run average. "We will welcome Matt back when he gets back and continue moving forward".
I don't think the Mets should be one of them.
"With Ces out and now with Cabby out, we've got to spread the wealth around and we've got to get everybody to chip in", Collins said.
Left-hander Adam Wilk was recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas to face the Marlins.
In his first season after having a rib removed to treat thoracic outlet syndrome, the 28-year-old Harvey has struggled to a 2-2 record with a 5.14 ERA over 35 innings. In 17 starts last season, he was 4-10 with a 4.86 ERA.
RHP Edinson Volquez (right thumb blister) threw a bullpen session on Friday and is expected to come off the disabled list and make the start for the Marlins on May 13, the first day he is eligible to return.
