Manish Pandey has been added to the team to beef up the batting, which now looks on shaky ground as Virat Kohli has suddenly hit a rough patch with the bat in the IPL following his hurried return from a shoulder injury.

Shami who plays for Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League, feels that IPL games will be great match practice in the tune up to the marquee event.

Rohit Sharma who didn't play ODI Cricket from last year October has recovered from a thigh injury and made a come back for Champions Trophy based on the weight age to his round year performance.

Mohammad Shami: Shami, selected as fifth pace-bowling option, has not played an ODI since 2015 World Cup.

This will be Rohit's first global assignment since October, when he sustained a thigh injury during the ODI series against New Zealand.

ANI reported that selectors have also put five players - Rishabh Pant, Kuldeep Yadav, Shardul Thakur, Suresh Raina and Dinesh Karthik - on stand-by for the tournament. Kept faith in 15 Members Squad which will be defeated in England against arch-rivals Pakistan on June 4.

Kohli terms IPL 10 as a season to forget for RCB
RCB also registered the lowest ever total in IPL history, in a group match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens. RCB skipper Virat Kohli who had a wonderful season a year ago did not have the best of times in the ongoing IPL tournament.

R Ashwin: There were doubts on his fitness as he was recovering from a sports hernia but his form in global cricket guaranteed him a spot in the squad.

Even as statement described the decision as "unanimous", ex ICC and BCCI chief N Srinivasan, who was part of the meeting through video conferencing, is learnt to have caled for a more hawkish line against the intenational body, an Indian Express report said.

Rohit Sharma: Rohit Sharma aka Hit-Man Sharma is back in action and will possibly open the innings with Shikhar Dhawan, the Gabbar.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar: Fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar, playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad, has been one of the most consistent performers in the IPL.

Yuvraj Singh is included in the squad led by Virat Kohli, as is star spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, who has recently been struggling with a hernia.

The BCCI stands to lose $277mn in revenue over the next eight years under the sweeping changes and its use of the Champions Trophy as a bargaining chip was strongly criticised.
