A body was found Tuesday in a garage in Centreville, Illinois, near St. Louis.

The alleged victim in that case is Quate's wife, who told police she had been held captive and sex trafficked by him for two years before escaping on Monday, KMOV reports.

That neighbor also said that the couple never owned a vehicle so she can't figure out how the body got from their house in Belleville to Centreville.

Investigators found remains believed to belong to a little girl buried in a garage in IL.

They are investigating the death as a homicide.

During the interview with detectives, the woman also told police that during an altercation with her husband, he killed her 6-year-old daughter, put her body in a container and hid it in a garage in IL.

Authorities say human remains have been found after a Las Vegas woman told investigators her dead child had been in a vacant southern IL home for two years. Las Vegas police contacted Centreville officers, who found human remains wrapped in two blankets, Dye said.

The girl's mother contacted police from a woman's shelter, where she said she had gone to seek refuge from her husband.

Detectives are coordinating with authorities in IL on the discovery of the child's body.

A woman who alleged shocking abuse at the hands of her 34-year-old husband, including being forced into prostitution, went to police with information about remains in an IL garage.

"She stated that her husband was extremely abusive and had forced her to go out to solicit herself for prostitution and also was physically abusive to the children".

According to the Associated Press, the discovery was made Tuesday in Centreville, a suburb southeast of St. Louis. They also said the girls showed signs of abuse and neglect. She said she would get angry very easily. He's jailed in Las Vegas.

The wife, 35, was also being held in Las Vegas on Thursday as a fugitive from a probation violation in a 2014 forgery case in St. Clair County.

Quate has not been charged in the death of his daughter. Raymond Spencer said in a video statement.

His two teenage daughters, who were allegedly abused as well, were taken into protective custody.

Quate told KSNV-TV in Las Vegas that he believed his wife put the 6-year-old up for adoption years ago.

One neighbor said it was Quate's wife that anxious her.

Neighbors said they knew the couple had kids but they were never allowed anyone to see them.
