Tensions high in Washington as a deadline looms for health care reform

On Monday, Trump took on McCain, who'd returned to the Senate after a brain cancer diagnosis in July to cast the key vote that wrecked this summer's effort. No Democrats support the bill.

Q: Why are Republicans rushing to finish before September 30?

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump lashed out at "so-called Republicans" Tuesday for deserting the party's latest attempt to repeal the Obama health care law.

"We're not going to vote for a budget resolution that doesn't allow the health care debate to continue", Graham said Sunday on ABC. It also projected the bill would sharply increase premiums for people with pre-existing conditions and shrink availability of coverage for high-cost services such as mental healthcare and expensive prescription drugs.

Graham and Sen. Ron Johnson, who both sit on the budget committee, have advocated for this idea. The analysis does not have specific projections for how the bill would affect coverage but says "millions" fewer people would be covered as funding decreased for Medicaid and subsidies for exchanges, as well as because of the elimination of the individual mandate to have coverage. That would include relaxing requirements that all plans cover an essential benefits package and refrain from basing premiums on enrollees' health status.

Kimmel gave one more monologue on the subject Monday night, saying that after speaking out last week he met hundred of people at events over the weekend that thanked him and told him Obamacare saved their lives.

"What McCain has done is a tremendous slap in the face of the Republican Party", Trump said after again criticizing the GOP for campaigning on a promise to repeal Obamacare for seven years.

The GOP bill would have fundamentally overhauled Medicaid from an open-ended federal guarantee to a system that caps funds to the states but would have given them more flexibility on how they spent those dollars.

So until then, LTE connectivity problems are something to keep in mind if you want to purchase the Series 3. It opened for preorders on Friday, and should begin shipping to customers by the end of this week.

"We have 52 votes so we can't lose any votes".

The new version of the Cassidy-Graham bill included tweaks to its funding formulas to send more federal money to key states, including Collins' home state. Democrats repeatedly denounced the rushed, secretive process for developing legislation to radically reshape the healthcare system, while Republicans insisted the bill would improve the system by giving more power and flexibility to the states.

States that haven't set up their own exchanges "would have to enact legislation and create a new administrative infrastructure", the CBO said. Given that, there is little chance the state program would be able to exist in its current form under the GOP plan.

There is only one reason the Senate is even considering a vote this week on the catastrophically flawed proposal from Sens. In the absence of any independent assessment of what their proposal does, they made up numbers that ignore big chunks of the bill. The hearing is the first step in the repeal process of Obamacare as Republicans look to pass the legislation with only four days left before this Saturday's deadline.

But on Monday, amid dimming prospects, McConnell would not commit to a vote.

President Trump tweeted out a six-minute-long video of clips of McCain talking about repealing and replacing Obamacare from different news organizations across the country including a clip from 3TV. It appeared that Sen.

Meanwhile, Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN) and Sen.

Graham-Cassidy is slated for a vote this week.
