The newest problem that has surfaced on the Pixel 2 XL is that its screen flashes for a split second before it is unlocked.

Google Pixel 2 XL has been going through some problems since it has been released and the latest one being the slow charging of the device. The tricky part is that Google doesn't have an official fix for the issue just yet, though some people commenting on the thread say that Google claims the problems are down to a software malfunction. Additionally, some Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL users are reporting problems with their handsets' microphone.

Just before this Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones were reported with the OLED burn-in problem which caused a substantial harm to the brand's reputation.

The issue was first brought to light by a Pixel 2 XL user Cynthia O in the Pixel User Community forums. An insider looked into the Pixel 2's programming and he found that the OLED panel used on the phone is a slightly older version of what is used on the LG V30.

Now, a new issue is being reported by the owners of Google Pixel 2 XL.

Meanwhile, Google Pixel 2 XL owners are facing a completely new issue - screen "flashing".

It doesn't happen on the Pixel 2 but only on the bigger variant. Users speculate that the issue on Pixel 2 and select Pixel 2 XL units are hardware related. Still, some users are reporting that Zerid's method worked for them, so while it isn't a long-term solution, it could help as you wait for an RMA replacement from Google.

A number of users have reported that blowing into the bottom speaker or USB port seems to solve the microphone issue. Once the mic was working, he was able to deactivate it by blowing into the speaker. "Blowing into the speaker when the microphone is working causes it to fail", Zeird wrote.
