OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition Will Be on Sale

Posted December 06, 2017

The company is holding an event on December 14 in India to mark the arrival of the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition.

OnePlus 5T succeed the original OnePlus 5 which was launched in June at a range of Rs 32,999, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with up to 8GB of RAM and a non-expandable internal storage of up to 128GB.

This phone was revealed first at the India-based Comic Con-Event in Bengaluru.

Unfortunately, it seems the OnePlus 5T Star Wars is the product of the partnership between OnePlus India and Disney India and as a result, the phone will be sold only in the country.

At the Comic Con event in Bengaluru this past weekend, OnePlus had an unbelievable announcement for all Star Wars fans - a OnePlus 5T Star Wars edition. There's the traditional fingerprint sensor embedded at the rear side, and to add the cherry on the cake, there also would be a Star Wars logo embedded at the bottom of the rear panel. The only difference is in the style with the new OnePlus 5T styled after the Star Wars theme. OnePlus will gain more buyers for its newly launched handset, and the Star Wars distributors will achieve a wide range of promotion for their upcoming movie Star Wars: The Last Jedi. This launch of Star Wars edition can be a matter of mutual benefit for both the companies. The front of the device still has the back finish, although the phone's slider button has been painted in a red colour.

The company will make their Logo of OnePlus just below the camera as usual.

OnePlus has strongly pushed its special edition devices in the past. That edition became so popular that the Midnight Black color then made its way to the OnePlus 5 as one of the standard, non-limited versions. And would you like to see the Red variant of OnePlus 5T which was launched in China a few days back? The smartphone has 6.01-inch full optic AMOLED display with full-HD+ (1080 x 2160) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio.
