Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 4am Saturday, hazardous travel conditions

New Year's Day will be nearly a mirror image of Sunday with temperatures reaching a high near 19 and a low of around 10.

Roads are likely going to be slippery and there could be reduced visibility on roadways. Saturday will see another high in the mid-20s. Snowfall should decrease as you go north with only 1 to 2-inches expected in counties adjacent to the Illinois-Wisconsin border. A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. Southern third of the state picking up at most an inch.

Flurries have already started in Western Connecticut and in the Berkshires, and these will continue to spread eastward into the afternoon hours. Highs only hitting the mid teens Saturday afternoon with temperatures on a downward spiral throughout the day. Temperatures are forecasted to reach only a high near 18 and drop to the single-digits by evening.

Florida State actually might not be bowl eligible
