Charlotte has been encouraging teams to make offers and appears eager to discuss attaching Walker to a larger trade in which another team would take on one of the Hornets' several less desirable contracts, sources said.

In an update to the story, Ian Begley from ESPN reports the Hornets are interested in having discussions about Walker with the New York Knicks.

Walker, 27, told reporters Friday any trade from Charlotte would hit him hard. I'm going to do what I can do to help my team win games, that's all I can do.

However, not long after that, Basketball Insiders' Steve Kyler stated that it was unlikely that Kemba would be moved and Walker himself also made his dedication to Charlotte and hopes for staying with the team quite clear.

But let's not forget, this is a business. need I say more. Look, as I mentioned in my previous piece on Kemba Walker, I would absolutely LOVE to have him in a Jazz uniform. I'd be pretty upset. He's also in the process of building a new house, and that he put his heart and soul into the team and the city.

"This is where I got my opportunity". I've gotten to know a lot of the fans. I do a lot with the community, of course. I doubt the Philadelphia 76ers pull the trigger, but there's reason to believe they should. It's kind of where I've grown up. "This is definitely home", Walker said. Especially if Ntilikina being dealt can land an all-star talent like Walker, who has stepped up in big moments at Madison Square Garden before and gives the Knicks the stellar point guard they've been coveting for what seems like decades.

If the Hornets trade away Walker, most people in this town will either be apathetic about the Hornets or simply ignore them.

Do I see it happening? NO!

If the Hornets find a trade partner and move Walker, let alone any other deals they might make, it could make it tougher for them to pass the Knicks.

"He's the captain. The best player".

Walker, who has played for the Hornets since 2011 when he was a No. 1 draft pick out of CT, said in an emotional group interview Friday that he would be devastated if the Hornets ship him away.
