Posted January 25, 2018

"In the world, you can not survive if you're weak.that's why we need East African integration", Mr Museveni said during the opening of East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) assembly in Kampala on Tuesday. But Museveni is of a different opinion, describing Trump as honest and saying African nations only have themselves to blame for lagging behind. Trump reportedly referred to Africa as Shithole countries, while questioning why the United States was welcoming immigrants from the continent.

The African Union, which represents African countries, demanded that Trump apologise. Africans need to solve their problems.

It's from this interval Museveni commended President Trump for being frank and telling Africa that they are a weak continent, "Africa needs to solve their own problems; you can not survive when you are weak", he reiterated.

"America has got one of the best presidents ever".

"Africa is 12 times the size of India with a lot of resources and with a growing population".

In 2017, Mr Trump allegedly said that Afghanistan was a terrorist haven; all people from Haiti "have Aids", and that Nigerians would never "go back to their huts" once allowed into the U.S., the New York Times reported. I don't know whether he was misquoted or whatever. "Mr. Trump. I love Trump", he said.

Unlike Museveni, some African presidents have condemned the alleged vulgar remark.

Museveni's response was in stark contrast to that of the President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo.
