Driver not yet charged for Park Slope hit-and-run that killed 2 children

Abigail Blumenstein, 4, and Josh Lew, 1, were crossing the street with their mothers Monday afternoon when witnesses say a auto at the intersection made a move to get around a stopped vehicle. "All she kept saying was, 'my baby my baby and she kept on trying to get up, '" said witness De'sir'ee Williams. Tell me this isn't happening!

Their moms, Lauren Lew and Tony award-winning actress Ruthie Ann Miles, were both injured and are hospitalized at Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. Unfortunately, the two children died. The white vehicle was going really fast.

As some people ran over to try and help the victims, others ran after the auto until it hit a parked vehicle, hundreds of feet away and on the other side of the road.

"The pregnant woman was just lying on the street".

A mangled baby stroller lay beneath the Volvo's right-rear wheel following the crash, which left a visible trail of gore on the road beside a kid-sized shoe. "It was something you see in a horror movie".

Charges are pending against the driver in Monday's deadly vehicle crash in Brooklyn.

A seizure-prone woman was "foaming at the mouth" after she fatally mowed down two kids crossing a Brooklyn street with their moms, law enforcement sources and an NYPD official said Wednesday.

"When they took her out, she was just standing there, like nothing". Not crying. Not asking questions: 'Is everybody all right?' Not shaking.

A witness told the paper that following the horrific incident, Bruns "was texting on her cell phone like nothing happened...."

The auto then crashed into a parked vehicle before coming to a stop. According to city records cited by the Daily News, there have been 10 traffic-related injuries at the intersection since 2014, and a pedestrian was killed there in February 2016.

"We will immediately review the area for any safety improvements". The two women are now listed in stable condition.
