As part of an app update, Snapchat had introduced video and voice chat in 2016 for user convenience. This feature allows groups of up to 16 friends to instantly start video chatting together, as you can see in the above screenshots. All members of the group will receive a notification and can respond to join the video or audio chat group.
To start a video chat with that many people, you'll need to start a video chat from within a group chat.
Users can add filters and lenses to their face while in the middle of a group video chat, like the classic puking rainbow lens or the dog face lens.
The social media platform said the new feature would roll out to users globally this week. With that many people involved, we doubt anybody would be able to understand a word anyone else said, but we suppose it's nice to have the option. "To tag a friend in your post, type the "@" symbol and write the username of the person you want to tag.
Viewers will be able to swipe up on your Snaps to watch the tagged account's public Story or add them as a friend.
China says Tiangong-1 space station to enter Earth's atmosphere on Monday
And one hour still means nearly one revolution around the Earth", said Holger Krag, the head of Esa's space debris office. The odds are, the space station will burn up in the atmosphere, with what is left falling in the oceans.
Mentioning other users is a rather trivial feature for regular consumers but is extremely valuable to celebrities and high-profile users that have large audiences. One way they've been doing that is by consistently rolling out new features for Snapchat, most of which are eventually borrowed by Instagram as well. This lets you know they're on the group call, too.
Instagram, owned by Facebook, has been a relentless Borg-like foe to Snapchat, assimilating its best features and threatening its business survival.
The new features are created to ensure that Snapchat users remain engaged with the service and spend more time using the app.
