Actress Cynthia Nixon says son has come out as transgender

On June 22, Cynthia Nixon, 52, celebrated her transgender son Samuel, 21.

Former Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon has shared a heart-warming Instagram post celebrating her son, Samuel, and the 14th Annual Trans Day of Action.

Nixon posted the picture to her Instagram with the caption "I'm so proud of my son Samuel Joseph Mozes (called Seph) who graduated college this month".

While the current candidate for governor of NY often prefers to keep her personal life to herself, she made an exception when she shared the sweet picture of herself alongside her son, Samuel, who is transgender, at his college graduation.

Nixon has said she put her hand up for governor because she knows her city can do better and turn itself into a "New York for the many, not just the few." .
