All-Star pitcher apologizes for awful, offensive old tweets

Posted July 19, 2018

Hader was alerted to an online firestorm regarding the tweets when he came out of the game. League will consider statement tomorrow. Hader's Twitter account has since been locked and the offensive tweets have been deleted, the outlet reported.

Immediately afterwards, Josh Hader, a 24-year-old Milwaukee Brewers pitcher, apologized and told reporters he was "young, immature and stupid" when he posted the tweets.

"As a child I was immature".

'Being 17 years old, you make stupid decisions and mistakes, ' Hader said.

People can parse Hader's apology if they want to - I wrote about what I feel like Hader needs to say and do to show that his tweets truly are not representative of who he is now - but this is probably about as well as Major League Baseball can do with this. "Obviously when you're a kid you just tweet what's on your mind, and that's what's on (Twitter).".

"There's no excuse for what was said", Hader said. "I'm deeply sorry for what was said".

Brewer says McCain won't resign as Senate moves to confirm Kavanaugh
Kavanaugh say that a president should not be subpoenaed, he said a president shouldn't be investigated", Schumer said. Of the 28 percent would like to see the ruling reversed, 51 percent were Republicans and 13 percent were Democrats.

But that's not the reason why Hader's name has been going viral. Like I said, we'll move on from it. For me, I'm moving on from it.

Major League Baseball Deputy Commissioner Dan Halem said the league might release a statement Wednesday, The Washington Post reported.

Furthermore, Hader turned to his teammate, and fellow All-Star, Lorenzo Cain, who is African-American. "He's young. We all say some insane stuff when we're young".

Teammate Lorenzo Cain added: "We all say insane stuff when we're young, that's one reason why I don't have social media, because you always get in trouble for it". His account went private soon after the tweets began circulating on social media, but many of them are screengrabbed here (Warning: Language very NSFW.) One, from August 23, 2011, bluntly states, "I hate gay people".

Hader said he had not spoken to family members and when asked if that would be a hard conversation responded: 'I was young, immature and stupid.

"We move on from it.it is what it is". I know that the real punishment for Hader is going to be the crap he'll receive for months/years after this, and it won't all be undeserved. So I'm fine. Everybody will be OK.
