Teddy Bridgewater's brief time with the Jets ended Wednesday, with the team reportedly trading him to the Saints. Rookie J.T. Barrett, out of Ohio State, is also on the roster.

And in a now-deleted tweet by the NFL Research, it was noted that Sam Darnold is set to become the youngest quarterback to start in Week 1 in 48 years, via Darin Gantt of Pro Football Talk.

After the Jets players were ready to leave, the team informed Bridgewater that he had been traded to the New Orleans Saints. "We wish him nothing but success in the future".

The preseason finale is upon the New York Jets as they end it on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles in Lincoln Financial Field. "I said last week, I look forward to coming to work every day and being the best version of Teddy that I can be, the best teammate, the best player that I can be". His passer rating is 104.7.

First Case of Human West Nile Reported in Lincoln County
As always make sure you wear mosquito repellent, long sleeves and trousers to reduce the risk of getting bitten. Eight of these cases occurred in Dane County, which was the highest number ever reported in the county.

He never played in the 2016 season after tearing the ACL in his left leg during practice.

The move means Bridgewater will be the No. 2 quarterback for New Orleans behind Hall-of-Fame quarterback Drew Brees.

Brees, who will turn 40 in January, signed a new two-year, $50m deal with the Saints in March but Bridgewater represents a potential successor. He led the Saints in rushing in each of the first three preseason games, but he also committed four turnovers in the first half of the second exhibition game.
