Fresno State close to hiring Jeff Tedford as new coach

Fresno State has hired former California coach Jeff Tedford to take over the struggling program. The Fresno Bee reported that Tedford will be introduced Friday as head coach at his alma mater. Tedford took over a Cal program that went 1-10 in 2001, the year before he arrived. Tedford also coached running backs Shane Vereen, Jahvid Best, Justin Forsett and Marshawn Lynch - Beast Mode and Rodgers being the most notable. Read More
